Mr. Nur isn't you're conventional street artist. This middle-aged homeless Indonesian man continues to use his time, effort and skills to spread messages about corrupt politics and other social ills.

This film finds Mr.Nur in South Jakarta painting alongside renowned graffiti writer BNE, who himself is dedicated to a cause - the BNE Water Project.

A local childrens community arts project, the largest of its kind in Siem Reap. Providing a creative platform for disadvantaged children to foster and promote expression and self confidence through art. Giant puppets are created by children and include unique educational, cultural or ecological themes such as road safety, endangered species, hygiene, local cultural appreciation and environmental awareness.

Under the guidance of student artists from Phare Ponleu Seplak in Battambang and the project’s Artistic Director, Jig Cochrane, over 500 children participate in fun and creative workshops, which are designed to charge and encourage the imaginations of the children. During the course of the workshops the children’s enthusiasm grows until it bursts onto the streets of Siem Reap on the evening of the annual parade, scheduled for Saturday February 23rd 2013.

		<description>Scratching The Surface: Japan is the first documentary project undertaken by the SRK. The film is a lyrical discovery of Japan’s hip-hop scene. Whilst exploring the global nature of hip-hop, director Suridh Hassan immersed himself in Japan’s hip-hop milieu, interviewing rappers, beatboxers, breakers, graffiti writers and DJs, and found a thriving, lively subculture that is at once a direct descendant of American hip-hop culture and yet uniquely Japanese.

Afra, Mar, Q-Taro and their peers talk about their introduction to hip-hop culture and the huge influence it has had on their lives. “Hip-hop is blood,” declares beatboxer Afra. Expressing themselves and their Japanese identity is a driving force for many of the artists, especially rapper Kan whose rhymes reflect life on the streets of Shinjuku. Although they pay tribute to hip-hop’s birthplace, over time they have developed their own unique styles and established an independent scene.

Scratching The Surface takes us on a journey across Japan passing through Tokyo and Osaka to show us that while hip-hop culture may have become a global phenomenon, at its heart it is still a local culture with its roots in community. Featuring interviews and exclusive performances of many of the scene’s most important artists, this documentary is the only real guide to Japan’s underground hip-hop culture.

		<description>The first dedicated to Japan's explosive graffiti scene, this book illustrates the work of the major graffiti writers working in Japan today.

&#60;img src="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/0/25942/301139/rack3.jpg" width="640" height="426" width_o="640" height_o="426" src_o="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/0/25942/301139/rack3_o.jpg" data-mid="1332869"  border="0" align="left"/&#62;

RackGaki showcases the creativity that lies within this new and relatively unexplored form of contemporary Japanese art. Interviews with the writers and the authors' own experiences in documenting the different aspects of this subculture, fill out a picture of an art form at the cutting edge and often at odds with police and civic authorities.

An accompanying DVD brings to life the still imagery of the book, focusing on the different environments which serve as the Japanese graffiti writers/'/ canvas. There is also footage of graffiti being created, both legal and illegal.
